Several public transit agency general managers participated in the CEOs Roundtable at the recent annual meeting of the Business Member Board of Governors (BMBG), where they discussed critical issues facing agencies and shared updates of current initiatives. At other sessions, meeting participants discussed a variety of issues, notably workforce development and the need across the industry to have a steady stream of entry-level engineers, and reaching members of Congress about the importance of a multi-year transportation bill, with a focus on reaching transportation allies and those who aren’t traditional supporters of public transit. |
