CATS on the Move

North Carolina’s Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is expanding with multiple rail lines and infrastructure projects that support growth and spur private development along numerous corridors. CATS launched the CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar in July 2015; ridership has surpassed projections by more than 60 percent. Phase I provides a direct link to uptown Charlotte and connects customers to universities, jobs, entertainment venues and 70-plus CATS bus routes.
