Conferences on the Horizon

APTA has scheduled conferences to meet the specialized needs of public transit agency CEOs and deputy CEOs, marketing and communications professionals, fare and revenue professionals and technology specialists.

The Transit CEOs Seminar, Feb. 11-14 at the Omni San Diego, provides practical information for new and longtime senior leaders on such topics as the CEO’s leadership role in safety and security, what to expect from the Trump administration and the future of mobility, along with opportunities to brainstorm and share with colleagues.

The Marketing & Communications Workshop, Feb. 26-March 1 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside, covers all aspects of public transit marketing and communications, from ridership to social media, and includes numerous networking opportunities including organized dinner groups. The workshop will also host the 2017 APTA Call Center Challenge, selecting the industry’s best call center employee, and host a reception to celebrate the 2017 AdWheel first-place winners.

All participants in the Revenue Management/Fare Collection & TransITech Conference, April 3-5 at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, can attend any session in this combined program. Public transportation personnel involved in the collection and protection of transit fares and revenue can consider topics from interoperability from an agency perspective to lessons learned from a smart card and fare gate system implementation. TransITech provides a deep dive into new and emerging technologies. In both cases, the focus is on learning what’s new, career growth and ways to engage passengers and professionals.
