Senate Approves Kan as DOT Under Secretary

 The Senate confirmed Derek Kan to be the next DOT under secretary for policy, the third highest post in the department, by a 90-7 vote.
Kan, general manager of Lyft, has served on the Amtrak Board of Directors since 2015 and previously was a policy advisor for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). He also was a presidential management fellow at the Office of Management and Budget.
