Sen. Duckworth at Metra Bridge Ground Breaking

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) recently joined Metra Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director Don Orseno, at podium, at an event to mark the beginning of construction of a new bridge over the Fox River in Elgin, IL. The $34 million project, funded in part with a $14 million federal TIGER grant, will replace a 136-year-old bridge and, Orseno said, will improve the reliability and performance of Metra’s Milwaukee District West Line. Elgin Mayor David Kaptain is behind Duckworth and Metra Chairman Norm Carlson is next to Orseno.
