Comments on APTA Standards Are Due by April 30

APTA invites all stakeholders to comment by April 30 on its current set of proposed standards documents, which can be found here.

APTA’s Standards Development Program publishes documents through a consensus-based process. The public comment period is a critical part in the development process.

The three current standards, all for rail, are “Requirements for Safe Operations in Yards and Maintenance Facilities,” “Rail Transit Signals Operating Rules and Procedures” and “Electronic Device Distraction Policy Requirements.”

Reviewers can complete the online form for each document and may submit as often as they like.
