New CEOs Named

Eng, MTA Long Island Rail Road

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has named Phillip Eng president of MTA Long Island Rail Road, ­succeeding Patrick Nowakowski.

Eng came to MTA in March 2017 as chief operating officer. From October 2017 to January 2018, he concurrently served as acting president of MTA New York City Transit. He began his 35-year transportation career in 1983 as a junior engineer with New York State DOT, working his way up to executive deputy commissioner.

Mouw, ROUSH CleanTech

ROUSH CleanTech, based in Livonia, MI, announced the promotion of Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing, to president of the company. Mouw has worked with the firm from its startup. He is a member of the APTA Clean Propulsion & Support Technology Committee.




Ruffin, Interim, BJCTA

Christopher Ruffin, director of operations with the ­Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA), ­Birmingham, AL, was named interim executive director after ­Barbara ­Murdock stepped down. Ruffin joined BJCTA as a fixed-route operator in 2010 and was promoted to director of operations in 2016.
