Dump the Pump Day June 21

The 13th annual National Dump the Pump Day, Thursday, June 21, is a great opportunity to thank current riders and attract new ones.

Celebrated by public transportation systems and businesses across the country, this annual event highlights the value and benefits of public transit. Participating organizations decide what benefits they want to promote and what community partnerships they want to include.

Participating organizations can use APTA’s Dump the Pump toolkit, which includes artwork, sample proclamations and a media advisory. There is also a countdown clock, along with a link to a carbon calculator, to place on your website. To give you ideas, there are also examples of what other public transit systems have done in the past. Access the toolkit here.

Contact Virginia Miller if your organization is participating or if you have any questions.
