US Postal Service Continues to Encourage Public Transportation
The US Postal Service released its latest sustainability report Sept. 29 and highlighted public transportation. The report also spotlighted the Go Green Forever stamps. APTA took part in the release of the stamp series featuring public transportation, issued by the US Postal Service last spring.

Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is one step closer to streetcars in Providence, RI. RIPTA along with Providence city staff presented a plan that could create a two-mile system through the city center connecting major attractions and the city hospital to quick, efficient streetcar transit.

They will take the commuter rail from Worcester to Boston’s South Station where they will congratulate riders for taking public
