Newest APTA Transit Savings Report Finds Big Savings for Public Transit Users

Individuals who ride public transportation instead of driving can save, on average, more than $800 this month and $9,500 annually, according to APTA's newest Transit Savings Report. These savings are based on the cost of commuting by public transportation compared with the cost of owning and driving a vehicle. That cost includes the June 26, 2013, average national gas price and the national unreserved monthly parking rate.
