APTA has announced details about two more General Sessions during the APTA Annual Meeting, Sept. 23-26 in Nashville, TN.
“Leadership for Every Generation” is the theme of the morning session on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Multiple, distinct generations are now occupying the workplace, working shoulder to shoulder but not always seeing eye to eye. This session will address the obstacles and opportunities within each generation in today’s workplace to better understand the potential impact everyone can make as a leader.
On Sept. 26, the Wednesday Wake Up Breakfast, “Our Shared Future: The Role of Transit in an Evolving Mobility Landscape,” will consider the challenges and unprecedented opportunities facing the public transportation industry. Robin Chase, co-founder and former CEO of Zipcar, will discuss her role as a “disruptor” of transportation issues and one of her newest initiatives, Shared Mobility Principles for Livable Cities, which offers guidelines for transportation
decision-makers and stakeholders for determining a safe, efficient and sustainable mobility landscape.
