FRA Issues Safety Advisory on Roadway Worker Authority Limits

FRA issued an industry-wide safety advisory offering guidance for rail employees working on active tracks, or right-of-ways, under the supervision of a dispatcher. The advisory mandates three measures that railroads must enact immediately to further enhance safety.

FTA/FHWA to Host Webinar on Performance Measures

FTA and FHWA will host a webinar on linking performance measures to improved performance outcomes, on Dec. 9, 2-3:30 p.m. EST. APTA Transit Savings Report Finds Big Savings

APTA's November Transit Savings Report found that individuals who ride public transportation can save, on average, more than $803 this month and $9,635 annually. These savings are based on the cost of commuting by public transportation compared to the cost of owning and driving a vehicle and includes the Nov. 24 average national gas price.
