AJLM Dedicates New Issue

The summer issue of the American Journal of Law & Medicine vol. 36 nos. 2&3 marks a special occasion, as it is dedicated to Professor Frances Miller, a scholar in health law and a devoted teacher and mentor to her students. For the past 40 years, Fran Miller has reshaped the discussion on health law and written dozens of related articles on medical ethics, malpractice, and patient safety, among other topics. Her numerous appointments and awards are evidence of her dedication to the field and her influence in the classroom. Indeed she won Boston University’s prestigious Metcalf Cup and Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 1989 and has continued to inspire her students whether at BU School of Law, School of Management, or the School of Public Health. We at ASLME thank Fran Miller for her many years as Faculty Advisor on AJLM, and for her role in supporting students’ goals and development.
