Next Steps in Health Reform

The American Society of Law, Medicine, and Ethics and American University Washington College of Law invite you to join us in Washington, D.C. for "Next Steps in Health Reform 2017".  The conference will take place October 26-28, 2017 at the American University Washington College of Law Tenley Campus.  Join leading health law, policy, and economics experts from across the country to discuss the dynamic health care landscape, including:

•    Health care delivery and payment reform, including value-based purchasing, transparency, and drug pricing;

•    Private insurance regulation, including coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions, tax credits, and essential health benefits;

•    The future of Medicaid and CHIP, including financing and eligibility reform and the evolving federal-state relationship;

•    Responses by states and communities to the changing federal role in health care.

The conference will feature addresses by Sylvia Mathews Burwell, President, American University and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Representative Henry Waxman, and Daniel J. Hilferty, President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross.
