AWI Award of Excellence Winners, Quality Sells Woodwork

Need a reason to stay in touch with your past and present customers? Tell them you earned an AWI "Award of Excellence" (AOE). See the project of one of the AOE winners – CBR Woodworking, LLC – featured in the winter edition of Design Solutions.

CBR Woodworking, LLC of Hainesport, NJ fabricated the woodwork throughout the Kurtz Center for the Performing Arts associated with the William Penn Charter School, established in Philadelphia in 1689. Shown here is one of the interior views of the theater, which primarily functions as a teaching facility. The detailing includes pilasters on the theater walls that recall columns, while the rich Cherry panels, seat backs, doors and trim give the impression of being insider a music box. Other views of the architectural woodwork throughout this project can be seen in the winter 2011 issue of Design Solutions.
