Cross Your T’s With Liens, or Risk Everything

“Be warned that most states strictly construe lien laws against the lien claimant. That means even a slight clerical misstep can invalidate a lien and leave you with nothing. There are also a minority of states that have taken a more liberal approach by only requiring reasonable or substantial compliance with statutory lien requirements,” writes William J.
