PDPM payments are being processed

PDPM payments are on the way!

CAHF has received confirmation from Noridian that PDPM claims are now being processed.

There are still some claims that are being held because of multiple line items for revenue code 0022. This may be caused by a number of factors, including multiple assessments (i.e. 5-day and IPA), and some software packages (including PCC) that split into two line items on the claim when a room change occurs.

If your software package automatically creates multiple line items on the claim due to room changes you can manually edit the claim before submission to correct this issue.

You can learn more about PDPM HIPPS coding on page seven of CMS' PDPM Frequently Asked Questions. Page three of this CMS document provides a longer overview of the coding for your background.

Organizations should review their remittances from Noridian to ensure payment is as expected. If you detect any payment errors, please follow up with Noridian and forward them to CAHF for our tracking.

Your feedback is needed.

Members: Please take a few minutes to complete our short PDPM Implementation Survey to give us feedback on how the transition is going for you.

The survey will be used in part to inform the PDPM Panel discussion at the CAHF Annual Convention in November as well as to help us create further training and/or resources needed to best support our members during this transition.
