A Message From Kim: Have Your Cake & Eat it Too!

Often I hear (and used to say myself), “you can’t have your cake and eat it too.” Which really just translates into, “you can’t have it all” or “you can only have half of what you want.”

In today’s world, millennials have done a terrific job of challenging old school traditional values and I think it’s all for the better. Gone are the days when women could have either a career or a family, but not both. Gone are the days when everything has to be done at the office. Technology has allowed us to go to places we never thought we’d see and meet people all over the world. 

At CEA we are changing our thinking and asking our members, “What if you could have it all?”  “What would you want?” One thing we’ve heard from our members is that they want options and lots of them. So we are doing just that! 

Harassment prevention training is a hot topic and regardless of how many people you need to train, we’ve got you covered. We offer:

  • On-site trainings for those who like to learn face to face. 
  • AB1825 trainings on the first Thursday of every month via webinar
  • On-line trainings so that people can log in whenever and wherever.
  • Trainings designed for employees, supervisors or board members.

With the new interview laws like Ban the Box, we’ve brought on a reputable Background Check partner who will make your job so much easier. For as little as $29 per hire you can gain peace of mind in knowing whether the person you are hiring has a criminal history which might result in rescinding your job offer.

Buenos Noticias! (Good News!) We now offer Job Applications, Employee Handbooks and State/Federal Posters in English and Spanish!

Finally, because HR problems don’t just happen between 8am and 5pm, we have the CEA HR After Hours phone line. Now you can get answers from HR Experts 24 hours a day, 7 days/week. We don’t offer all things to all people, just all things HR to our members. If you need something, please ask us for it – we want you to be able to have your cake and eat it too!
