Engineering and Surveying Workforce Development Forum and Student Outreach Campaign Kick-off

CELSOC is launching a statewide Student Outreach Campaign to attract more students into the engineering and land surveying professions. The campaign will kick off with an event at the Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento this evening, Tuesday, July 31, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

The outreach effort is centered on an educational DVD, recently produced by CELSOC's Public Relations Committee and Next Movement Entertainment, which will be shown for the first time at the Crest Theatre. Confirmed speakers for the evening include CELSOC President Robert Salaber, Senator Tom Torlakson (D - Antioch), Assemblyman Ted Gaines (R - Roseville), Dr. Emir Macari, Dean of Engineering and Computer Science at Sacramento State University, and Jane Rozga, Chair of CELSOC's Student Outreach Committee and engineer with CH2M Hill.

Please attend this event to discuss the workforce development issues faced by our industry and to mingle with industry professionals from both the public and private sectors. Click here for more information.
