Since language and culture are closely intertwined, it is essential that today’s professional know and understand both in order to succeed in today’s diverse Hispanic workplace.  Develop your understanding of how Hispanic employees interpret the organization. This program, presented by the Employment Practices Committee, will address various workplace topics including productivity, motivation, feedback, and team cohesion, as well as provide strategies for increasing them. Commentary and a question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Participants will learn to:

  • Identify four critical issues that affect the productivity of the Hispanic workforce.
  • Identify four strategies to address these issues.
  • Identify five characteristics of a successful cohesive team.

Our dynamic presenter, Mary Lynn Bennett, owns Bilingual Skills Services, LLC. This organization has assisted other companies with improving the productivity and safety of their Latino workforce through cultural competency and language training. Mary Lynn uses her bilingual abilities and empowers companies to develop the knowledge and skills of their Latino workforce. Mary Lynn was nominated as the 2001 Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners.
