July 27, 2012 is the deadline to pre-register to attend the IADR Pan European Regional Congress (PER) in Helsinki, Finland, September 12-15, 2012. Accepted presenters must pre-register by July 13 or their presentations will be withdrawn.
Upcoming Symposium: The Changing Trends of Oral Health
The East and Southern African Division of the IADR will hold a scientific conference in conjunction with the Uganda Dental Association. This meeting, themed "The Changing Trends of Oral Health: Disease Patterns and Management," will be held October 24-26, 2012, in Kampala, Uganda.

It is with deep sadness to announce that IADR Past President David B. Scott passed away on June 8, 2012. Scott served as the IADR president for the 1975-76 term. The IADR David B. Scott Student Research Fellowship is named after him and it was created by his late wife Nancy M. Scott in his honor. A tribute to Scott will be forthcoming in a future issue of the JDR.
