  • Boyer Best Practices Award 2005:
    Differentiated Instruction in Creating a Climate for Learning

The Boyer Center, a national education institute that facilitates ongoing renewal in schools and communities, is awarding three monetary awards of US$10,000 to elementary schools (preK-5/6) through its Best Practice Award: Differentiated Instruction in Creating a Climate of Learning. The three elementary schools chosen must have shown, among other criteria, “evidence of the integration of differentiated instruction into and across the curriculum” and “evidence that differentiated instruction is proactive and student centered.”

  • Thomas H. Hagoort Award
    for Outstanding Programs Fostering International Understanding

The Thomas H. Hagoort Award for Outstanding Programs Fostering International Understanding acknowledges the invaluable contribution of Thomas H. Hagoort to the International Baccalaureate Organisation. 

To honor that commitment and to recognize his invaluable service, the IBNA Board of Directors has established an award to be made annually in the form of a US$1,000 grant to the IB authorized school in North America which has undertaken a project deemed to be particularly innovative and effective in promoting the cause of international understanding and which may serve as a model for other schools in North America.  Preference will be given to projects which involve and affect the broad membership of a school’s community.
