The E-Newsletter and the IB Program at Your School

Our goal for the IBNA E-Newsletter is to provide you with current program news and regional perspectives on best practice, research and initiatives within the IB that are important to you and the IB program at your school.

In this issue, we have several interesting articles.  We have an article by Roger Groenink at Atlanta International School.  Mr. Groenink describes the approach at his school to fulfilling the IBO mission of creating a “better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding.”   In addition, Kathie Panfil, the former Principal at Randolph Elementary, describes the authorization process for her school.  Wendy Xerri, ICT Director, and Graeme Donnan, Head of Examinations Administration, have written an article on IBIS, letting us know what to expect in the new system and what developments are in store for the future.  In addition, you will find updates for the programs and professional development news.  We’ve highlighted recent articles relevant to international education.

As we come to the end of the school year, we at IBNA like to reflect on the year and evaluate what we can do better in delivering information to schools in the region.  According to the newsletter polls, we’ve learned over the past year that you would like to continue to receive quarterly newsletters, you prefer program news and updates and most, but not all, of you are IB Coordinators, teachers or heads of schools.

We would like to hear any additional comments or suggestions that you have regarding the content of the newsletter.  Please send any comments or suggestions to feedback@ibo.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
