The Lessons of the Closing Year, the Opportunities of the New!
As we are quickly closing in on the holiday season, let us be the first to wish you a very happy and healthy one!

This November eNewsletter contains a very interesting article by by David Conley, Director of the Center for Educational Policy Research, on the intellectual habits of successful university students and how IB reinforces these habits.  Mark Waterson, IBO's Head of Teacher Education Services, focuses on teachers' professional development and how it can impact their students' success.

We are also excited to bring you a piece by IBNA Research Manager Ji Sun Lee on action research in the classroom, a trend that is quickly becoming required practice. Additionally, Laura Brock of the Halifax Grammar School in Halifax, Nova Scotia reports on the Independent Schools Roundtable at the July 2005 ARC in Montreal and the unique issues that face independent schools.

We maintain our goal to use this newsletter as a vehicle to provide you with current program news and regional perspectives on best practice, research and initiatives within the IB. We would like to hear any additional comments or suggestions that you have regarding the content of the newsletter. Please send any comments or suggestions to ibnafeedback@ibo.com. We look forward to hearing from you. [ return to top ]
