  Wintertime Reflections
Access, open-mindedness and diversity are key components of any successful IB program.

This month's newsletter highlights principles that are inherent in the IBO's mission statement. Mel Riddile, principal of J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia, and NASSP Principal of the Year, appeals to educators to reflect on how truly open their IB programs are. Merritt Hemingway, principal of Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, California, responds to questions on how the IB program can fit in a parochial context, and how they share many common ideas. Maintaining diversity in your Diploma Programme is also important, and Mary Neal, DP coordinator at Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida offers some great suggestions.

We maintain our goal to use this newsletter as a vehicle to provide you with current program news and regional perspectives on best practice, research and initiatives within the IB. We would like to hear any additional comments or suggestions that you have regarding the content of the newsletter. Please send any comments or suggestions to ibnafeedback@ibo.com. We look forward to hearing from you. [ return to top ]
