IDSA recognizes the value of mentorship, and we also know that it is but one piece of attracting more doctors into the field. We have several other programs, including supporting current fellows to ensure a positive and successful start to their careers.
I share these programs with you not only to demonstrate the Society’s commitment to strengthening the ID workforce, but also so that you might find ways to get involved so that when you encounter someone trying to select a specialty or perhaps someone just starting out, you’ll let them know that IDSA is where to turn for support.
IDSA will be conducting an online survey of U.S.-based members this spring. Your participation in this survey will be critical to our success in advocating for appropriate compensation for the work you do.
IDSA and HIVMA joined hundreds of thousands of scientists and science supporters in DC and hundreds of satellite locations in the March for Science to advocate for the critical role science plays in our communities and around the world. The March was just the beginning. To maintain the momentum, your voices matter now more than ever.
