Among the mistakes professionals make when attempting to burnish their personal brands is building a wall between their personal and professional personas. At first blush, it makes sense. But the instant a recruiter or hiring manager picks up on the fact that you have two accounts on a social media site, they may assume that what’s in your personal account might not reflect so well on you as a candidate. 2. U.S. Government Investigating "Onshoring" Firms for Visa Misuse

4. Irish Go Abroad for Opportunity

On the occasion of LinkedIn signing up its one-millionth subscriber in Ireland, the social network released some information offering an interesting picture of Ireland’s workforce. More than 100 000 of the site’s Irish subscribers currently live and work abroad. These expatriates are nearly twice as likely to hold corporate officer roles than their counterparts back home. “In fact,” says a article, “there are more Irish emigrants working as corporate officers in corporate, high-tech and finance industries than those based in Ireland."  Read more.
