Going Parallel In Image Processing Using MATLAB and Python

Tuesday, Oct 14, 2008
2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT / 18:00 GMT (Duration: 1 hour)

In this Webinar, learn how Star-P lets engineers, scientists, and researchers write applications on desktop computers using MATLAB and Python, and run them interactively on multiprocessor servers or HPC clusters. Interactive Supercomputing will share insights on how to eliminate the need to re-program applications in C, FORTRAN or MPI languages in order to achieve production performance.

In a live demo, you will see Star-P's data and task parallel modes make it easy to process large images and/or large numbers of small images. Running on multi-processor servers or HPC clusters can remove performance barriers caused by insufficient memory or I/O bottlenecks. Learn how engineers, scientists and intelligence analysts can easily tap the power of parallel high performance computers to solve computational problems in a fraction of the time previously required.

Presenters:

David Rich
Vice President, Interactive Supercomputing

Roope Astala
Applications Engineer, Interactive Supercomputing

Niraj Srivastava
Director of Professional Services, Interactive Supercomputing
