The VTS Connected & Autonomous Vehicles Summer School @ WPI will provide a framework of fundamental concepts needed for enabling connected and autonomous vehicle technologies. These fundamental concepts will be presented by world-renowned experts in both the connected vehicles and autonomous vehicles domains.
Attendees of this 2-day summer school will achieve the following three learning outcomes:
- A solid basis regarding the theory and technologies needed to support reliable wireless inter-vehicle connectivity as well as connectivity between vehicles and roadside infrastructure
- A better understanding of the theory, the technology, and the current challenges in vehicle autonomy
- An interdisciplinary foundation that combines wireless connectivity with autonomy into a more holistic viewpoint of future vehicular platforms
The intended audience for this summer school is industry practitioners interested in developing skill sets in connected and autonomous vehicle technologies, graduate students planning to conduct research in the areas of connected vehicles and/or autonomous vehicles, and faculty interested in investigating connected vehicles and/or autonomous vehicles.
The final summer school program, registration page, and additional information about this event will be available on or about 15 April 2016. Any questions can be directed to the summer school organizers, Professor Alex Wyglinski (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Professor Raghvendra Cowlagi (email@example.com).
