Wisconsin LIG Celebrates another Successful Year
By: Kathy Kiepert and Anil Balla – Wisconsin LIG Communications Committee

The members of the Wisconsin Local Interest Group (WI LIG) gathered December 4th to celebrate another successful year with some hors d‘oeuvres, networking, roundtable discussions, and a raffle.  It was a well attended event, in spite of some impending bad weather.

The event started off with Allan Montezon, the WI LIG President, thanking the membership for a strong LIG.  He also reiterated that the LIG was membership driven and its strength came from its member base.  He also took the opportunity to thank all the vendor sponsors.

Rob Stroud, member of the national board, gave an overview of what the national group is doing.  He noted that the WI LIG was one of the stronger LIGs in the country, and went on to note how ITSM is taking root beyond IT.

Roundtable discussions, facilitated by the vendors Maryville, BMC, and Forsythe, allowed the attendees to network and share their experiences with tools, change management, and service catalog development.

The discussions were wrapped up by raffling off a set of ITIL® v3 books, won by Becky Beckman of Rockwell Automation.

The WI LIG had a great year and is looking forward to an even greater 2008 with programs and events aligned to membership needs.
