Maine Providers Standing Up for Healthcare Schedules Press Conference for this Friday in Lewiston

Maine Providers Standing Up for Healthcare is a grassroots organization that arose in early 2017 opposing the repeal of the ACA without a viable alternative.  Our mission is to inform and influence healthcare policy based on our vast experience caring for the people of Maine.  We are deeply concerned about the threat to health coverage for millions of individuals and families.

Since January, we have organized Op-Ed campaigns and public speaking events, and have lobbied our Congressional delegation through traditional and social media, direct contact, and a public hearing on Capitol Hill.

Events are rapidly changing in the Senate.  Our next event is a PRESS CONFERENCE this FRIDAY 6/23 at 10:30 am at the CMMC Family Medicine Clinic at 76 High Street in LEWISTON.  The purpose is to urge Senator Collins to oppose any bill that would reduce the number of Mainers with health insurance. Speakers will include frontline providers, patients, and state legislators.

All are welcome.

Any frontline healthcare providers in Maine (physicians, nurses, advanced practice professionals, mental health providers, physical therapists, etc) interested in becoming involved with the organization can email Dr. Sam Zager at samzager@gmail.com.
