On Nov. 1, the President's Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis issued its report to the President containing fifty-six recommendations in its 138 page report. The recommendations range from development of a national curriculum and standard of care for opioid prescribing and model statutes, regulations and policies on informed consent to designing and implementation of a national multi-platform media campaign addressing the hazards of substance use, the danger of opioids and stigma.
