MMA Board Meets on Wednesday, April 25, 2018
Agendas for all MMA committee meetings are posted on the MMA website at www.mainemed.com and all meetings are open to MMA members regardless of whether they are on the Board or committee. Minutes of the meetings are posted following their approval by the applicable committee.
Priority topics for the meeting Wednesday include the following:
Opioid prescribing CME requirements.
President's Retreat follow-up:
a. EVP Succession Planning Update
1. Working group on EVP position description
2. Updated timeline for search
3. Communications with search firms
b. Member and Board Engagement
c. Draft survey questions for members re EVP Search
d. Review of existing Strategic Plan
Board members will also receive an update on the 2018 Annual Session planning for the 165th Annual Session being held in Bar Harbor, Sept. 7-9, 2018. MMA's Advocacy team of Andrew MacLean, Peter Michaud and Gordon Smith will present an update on where the MMA legislative priorities sit given the abrupt suspension of the Second Session of the 128th Legislature.
The 29 member MMA Board is chaired by Amy Madden, M.D. of Belgrade.
