Call to Action: Senate Votes LD 798 on Thursday
LD 798, the bill to repeal non-medical exemptions to school and healthcare employment vaccine requirements, passed the House last week and will be up for a very close vote in the Senate, most likely this Thursday. Call your State Senator and urge passage of LD 798!
The MMA family mourns the passing of our friend and colleague, Dr. Larry Mutty, and extends its condolences to Dr. Danielle Mutty and the extended Mutty family.
Brick South, the event center at Thompson's Point in South Portland, will be the site of an MMA Gala Celebration on Saturday evening, Oct. 26. We will celebrate the executive leadership of Dan Hanley, M.D., Frank Stred and Gordon Smith who sequentially led MMA for sixty-five years from 1955 into 2019. Watch for invitations this summer. MMA Legislative Call Tuesday, April 30th
The Maine Legislature is in full swing, with over 1660 bills printed. All committees are holding public hearings and work sessions and voting on bills. That means there's lots of work to do on the MMA Legislative Calls. The next call will be Tuesday, April 30th, at 8 p.m.
