McKusick Lecture Welcomes Tufts Maine Track Class of 2023

On July 25, Edison T. Liu, MD delivered the annual McKusick lecture to entering medical students in the Tufts University School of Medicine Maine Medical Center Program.  Dr. Liu is President and CEO of The Jackson Laboratory, and is an international expert in cancer biology, genomics, human genetics, molecular epidemiology and translational medicine.

The McKusick Lecture is named for the late Victor A. McKusick, MD, a native of Parkman, Maine, who has been called the father of medical genetics and "a towering international figure in genetics research."   The event marked the start of medical education for the class of 2023 in the Maine Track program.
