This year marks the 10th annual MMA Silent Auction, held during the MMA Annual Session, which takes place the weekend of September 6-8. Read More Change in Referral Policy to the Public Health Nursing Program Maine CDC’s Public Health Nursing Program (“PHN”) values its important partnership with Maine’s Birthing Hospitals. Together, we work to ensure the health and safety of mothers and their babies. Previous Department directives for referrals to PHN indicated that PHN served only families who were MaineCare-insured or uninsured with “indicated health concerns.” Starting today and moving forward, all prenatal and postpartum women and all newborns and infants up to 12 months of age may be referred to PHN for appropriate services and supports, regardless of insurance status.
