The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) is hosting a public stakeholder meeting on September 12th at 5:00 pm to seek input for its new rule required by An Act to Enact the Maine Death with Dignity Act. It seeks input from physicians on reporting requirements and data collection. Read More
The Maine CDC has just sent out an advisory that Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) has shown up on a York County horse, the first such case in Maine since 2013. The virus can be transmitted to humans via a mosquito vector. Read More
An Oklahoma Judge has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay the state of Oklahoma $572 million in the first decided case against an opioid manufacturer for the negative effects of liberal opioid dispensing. Read More

The Home Health industry is looking toward significant changes on January 1, 2020 related to the Medicare reimbursement and payment. The industry will transition to a Patient Driven Grouper Model (PDGM) which will require a greater focus and importance on the Primary Diagnosis.
