MMA Welcomes Class of 2024 Maine Medical Students

The Maine Medical Association joins the Tufts University School of Medicine Maine Track program and University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in welcoming the Class of 2024. Maine medical students are invited to join the MMA.

Maine Medical Center hosted the 12th Annual Victor A. McKusick, MD Lecture on July 21 to welcome the Tufts University School of Medicine Maine Medical Center Program Maine Track Class of 2024. The keynote address was given by Anthony P. Monaco, MD, PhD, President of Tufts University.

The UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine will be celebrating its 24th annual White Coat Ceremony honoring the class of 2024 at a later date and time during the 2020-21 academic year.

All Maine medical students are invited to join the Maine Medical Association. The MMA does not charge annual membership dues while you are attending medical school. Medical students may also join the MMA Medical Student Section. You can have an immediate effect by working with MMA leadership and staff to advocate for you future patients and colleagues and help shape and define your chosen profession. Maine medical students have recently been instrumental in helping pass legislation to remove religious and philosophical exemptions for immunizations and certainly help us define future change to address racial inequities and health care disparities.

Membership information for medical students is at www.mainemed.com/mss or contact Lisa Martin, MMA Membership, at lmartin@mainemed.com or 480-4201.
