Register for Maine’s New PMP System Now
Maine’s Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) thanks you for your continued patience as they roll out Maine’s new PMP system, RxGov, for reporting and oversight of controlled substance dispenses and are urging physician PMP users to register now. Deadline to register September 23. Access to the legacy PMP system will be terminated on September 30. How to Register with RxGov Go to https://mepmp.rxgov.com Select “Register” Under Account Type, select your role. If you are not sure which RxGov user role is right for you, please view RxGov User Role Definitions on the Maine.gov PMP website to ensure you select the appropriate role. Once you complete your registration, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address you used to register your Maine RxGov. Please confirm your account by clicking the hyperlink in this email. Once you have registered and confirmed your account, our team must review your registration. As soon as this review is complete, you will receive an email notification that your RxGov account has been activated. This process may take 3 to 5 business days depending on the volume of registrations. Once you receive the email notification that your RxGov account has been activated, you can stop using the legacy PMP and begin using RxGov. Out-of-State Drug Dispenses Please continue to use AWARxE (the current PMP application for checking out-of-state data) until September 30 to perform interstate queries for PMP data. On October 1, interstate PMP query functionality will transition to RxGov. EMR Users: Does your EMR have an existing PMP integration? If you currently access PMP data through an existing integration with your EMR, you still must register for an account with RxGov beginning on August 3. Your PMP-EMR integration will continue to function without interruption during the system transition, and all existing connections between EMRs and PMP data will be maintained– no changes are required within your EMR.
