Maine Opioid Prescribing Legal Update May 25, 2021


Join the Maine Independent Clinical Information Service (MICIS), in partnership with the Maine Medical Association Center for Quality Improvement (MMA-CQI), on Tuesday May 25, 2021, from 12 – 1 p.m.   When Maine passed Chapter 488, the opioid prescribing law, in 2016, it was the most restrictive opioid prescribing law in the nation.  While many Maine prescribers have incorporated the requirements into their usual practice, prescribers may still have questions about different aspects of the law and the subsequent board rules and insurer-required restrictions.
