Maine DHHS & CDC seeking physician input; Tuesday webinar & web-based survey

As part of Maine CDC’s ongoing efforts to promote COVID-19 vaccination to increase the number of people vaccinated in Maine, ME DHHS is looking for your input on how we can support increased COVID vaccination in medical practices & other health care settings.

The MMA has been advocating a widespread plan to have COVID vaccines readily accessible in physician offices since the beginning of 2021, and as outlined in another MMWU article this week (Unvaccinated people would prefer to get vaccinated at their doctor’s office), it is well recognized that offering COVID vaccination in medical practices and health care settings should be a key part of an ongoing strategy to get to the remaining ~30% of eligible Mainers who remain unvaccinated.

To help advance this work, Maine DHHS and CDC are asking for input from Maine clinicians on the most significant barriers to offering vaccination in medical practices & health care settings, and what steps we could take to better support your efforts moving forward.

Specifically, they would like to solicit the direct input of clinicians on these issues on an upcoming webinar on Tues, July 13 (7:30AM), as well as through a brief web-based survey: https://forms.office.com/g/eS3C4AEbht

To that end, state public health leaders will use the next COVID Vaccine Clinicians Info Session to focus on this issue on Tues, July 13 from 7:30-8:30A (note: they will be extending the normal 30’ session to 1hr), using the following Zoom link:
