Unvaccinated people would prefer to get vaccinated at their doctor’s office
A recently
released nationwide poll of more than 12,000 Americans on COVID-19 vaccine
uptake done by The African American Research Collaborative (AARC) and the
Commonwealth Fund with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson and W.K. Kellogg
foundations found that unvaccinated people would prefer to get vaccinated at
their doctor’s office and far fewer would prefer other locations.
More than half (53 percent) would first choose their doctor’s office
followed by a retail pharmacy (17%), a town or county health clinic (13%),
and large public vaccination sites (only 10%). Read More

proposing these routine technical rule changes to implement P. L. 2019, Ch.
154: An Act to Protect Maine
Children and Students from Preventable Disease by Repealing Certain Exemptions
from the Laws Governing Immunization Requirements (the “Act”). The
Act prohibits the rule from including any provision governing medical
exemptions and repeals the exemption from required immunization for school
students who object, based solely on a sincere religious belief or
philosophical reason, effective September 1, 2021, with exemptions for
certain students.

Feds asked to investigate of Alzheimer's drug approval; FDA revises recommendations for drug
The acting head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has asked for
a federal investigation into the agency's controversial approval of Biogen
Inc.’s Alzheimer’s drug, Aduhelm.

Biden Executive Order covers non-compete agreements, hospital mergers, and prescription prices
Although numerous media reports indicate the President’s Executive
Order earlier this week would ban noncompete agreements used by employers, it only,
“encourages the FTC to ban or limit non-compete agreements.” The order also “encourages”
the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to work on the issue of hospital
consolidations and directs the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to work with
states on importing prescription drugs from Canada and develop a plan to lower
