Increasing HPV Vaccination Rates in Clinical Practice:

Access the Module today!

The goal of this online learning module is to provide an easily accessible, quality improvement resource for pediatricians, family clinicians, practice staff, and other quality improvement healthcare professionals to increase HPV vaccination rates in their clinical practice.

HPV and HPV vaccination educational resources, tools and quality improvement methodology will be shared and explained to provide a step-by-step online teaching module to help increase HPV vaccinations rates – thus preventing six different types of HPV-associated cancers.

Provider and clinical staff education is an evidence-based intervention, and education on HPV, HPV vaccinations and the change in messaging that HPV vaccination is cancer prevention will positively impact provider and clinical staff recommendations for HPV vaccinations.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the important role of HPV vaccination in preventing HPV infections and HPV-associated cancers

• Understand the rationale for starting to educate and vaccinate adolescents at ages 9-10 years-old with the goal to complete the series by age 13

• Make a strong, effective recommendation at the same time and same day as other adolescent vaccines

• Effectively communicate with patients and parents to provide compelling information and answer questions about HPV vaccinations

• Learn to use quality improvement methodology with evidence-based interventions to improve HPV vaccination rates

• Describe how to use data to promote continuous quality improvement and measure progress
