The Advisor - serving the industry since 1977
Welcome to The Advisor
by Phillips G. Gay, Jr., President, NABS/Profit Protection, LLC

It is with great pride and joy that the staff of the National Association for Bank Security and Profit Protection, LLC brings you this special sample electronic edition of The Advisor. This new format marks the latest step in the continuing evolution of a unique monthly advisory service that has served the financial institution industry since 1977. Subscribers now have instant access to online resources referenced in the articles. Reaction to the new format has been universally positive.

"I received The Advisor today in the 'Green' format and I really enjoyed reading the articles," wrote Steve Brandle, security officer of Independence Bank in Owensboro, Ky., in an email to the publication. "I have found The Advisor very informative over the years and I still have my copies from the early 1990's."

"You have made my day and Jerry K. (Jerry Kenna, the late founder of Profit Protection, Inc.) would be proud," Brandle continued.  "If you don't subscribe to The Advisor, you are missing an outstanding resource! I have recommended The Advisor to many financial institutions to subscribe to because I believe in the product."

"Thank you - this is much better than paper copy," wrote Security Officer Gene Van Vranken of  Hawthorn Bank in Jefferson City, Mo.

We recommend that you do not print out your copy of The Advisor but read it on-screen instead to take advantage of all of the newsletter's functionality. However, should you need a "paper copy," the entire issue and each individual article can be printed out by selecting the appropriate link in the Newsletter Tools menu in the left-hand column. To print out a single article, you need to be on the page on which the entire article appears.

All the stories in this issue of the newsletter appear on the front page either in headline form in the table of contents down the left column of the page under In This Issue or in a story teaser format down the right column. A single click on the story headline in the left column or on the Read More link at the end of every story teaser will take you to the full story. A regular monthly issue usually contains 20 to 25 articles. Read more
