Local health department (LHD) staff can take the NACCHO Preparedness Pledge by filling out a short survey to document their activities during Preparedness Month in September. NACCHO will feature LHDs that demonstrated outstanding practices on the Preparedness Brief blog. Learn more »

Take Action
Join NACCHO to Raise the Caps
NACCHO and more than 2,500 national, state, and local organizations are calling on Congress to end sequestration, the very tight budget caps on federal discretionary spending in place through 2021. NACCHO encourages members to tweet to Congress using the hashtag #raisethecaps or send a letter to their elected representatives; a sample letter is available. Learn more »

Submit an Abstract for the 2016 Preparedness Summit
NACCHO is accepting abstracts for the 2016 Preparedness Summit through Sept. 30. This year’s conference, April 19–22 in Dallas, will explore the theme “Planning Today for Rebuilding Tomorrow: Focusing on Resiliency and Recovery in the 21st Century.” Learn more »
