By sharing evidence-based practices, local health departments (LHDs) contribute to the improvement of public health. NACCHO will accept award applications through Oct. 31. Learn more »

Take Action
Funding Opportunity for Increasing HPV Vaccination Rates
NACCHO has received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support LHDs as they engage and collaborate with healthcare providers and other key community stakeholders to increase human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in their communities. Applications are due Oct. 29. Learn more »

Provide Input on NACCHO’s Legislative Agenda
NACCHO invites members and other stakeholders to provide input on the 2016 Federal Legislative and Policy Agenda, which will guide NACCHO's advocacy work in the coming year. Please provide input by (1) reviewing the agenda; and (2) e-mailing feedback to Vicky Bass, NACCHO Government Affairs Specialist, at vbass@naccho.org by Oct. 12.

Preparedness Summit Abstract Submission Deadline Extension
The abstract deadline for the 2016 Preparedness Summit has been extended to Oct. 14. This year’s Summit will explore the theme “Planning Today for Rebuilding Tomorrow: Focusing on Resiliency and Recovery in the 21st Century.” Learn more »
