Take Action
Urge Congress to Fund Public Health Priorities
After passage of last week’s budget deal, Members of Congress are deciding how to allocate funding to federal programs, including those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Now is the time to urge them to stop cuts to important programs such as tobacco prevention, immunization, the Medical Reserve Corps, family planning, and sexually transmitted disease prevention. NACCHO has created a guide to help LHDs use the Flu Near You platform to benefit their community’s flu awareness and tracking efforts. Through Flu Near You, thousands of volunteers answer a brief weekly digital questionnaire about their health. View the guide »
