Editor's Note: The House Democrats’ letter, led by Congressmen Bill Owens and Mike McMahon of New York, demonstrates strong support for preserving affordable dealer-assisted financing for consumers. (Click here to view the letter signed by 62 House Democrats.) With a decision to be made on the language early next week, dealers must explain the value of dealer-assisted financing and ask the conferees to commit to keeping the Campbell/Brownback language in the final Wall Street reform legislation. (Click here for a list of phone and fax numbers of conferees.) For more information, visit www.nada.org/keepcreditaffordable. If you find out information on a conferee’s position, please email legislative@nada.org.
