Fiat CEO: Chrysler Still Gearing Up for 2011 IPO

LOS ANGELES - The success of General Motors Co's IPO, potentially the largest U.S. offering, bodes well for Chrysler's own planned share sale, Fiat SpA CEO Sergio Marchionne said on Tuesday. But the Itaian executive told Reuters the strong take-up for GM's landmark IPO would not change the timing of Chrysler's public debut, which he reaffirmed was still set for the second half of 2011. Chrysler Tries to Jump-Start Dealerships

LOS ANGELES—Chrysler Group LLC is intensifying its push to buy commercial real estate as it looks to open dealerships in targeted markets where property costs have hindered expansion. The company has 14 properties under lease in California and is looking for more, Peter Grady, vice president of network and fleet development at Chrysler, said after an event in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday. Chrysler Unveils List of Fiat's First 130 U.S. Dealerships

LOS ANGELES -- Chrysler Group today released a list of 130 dealerships that have received letters of intent to get Fiat franchises. Once dealers fulfill the requirements of the letter of intent and provide the facilities they promised in proposals made to Chrysler, they can begin taking orders for the Fiat 500 small car, which is being introduced in North America here at the Los Angeles Auto Show today.
