Chrysler Sales Rise 12 Percent in September

Chrysler's U.S. sales rose almost 12 percent last month as the company reported its best September in five years. The increase from a year earlier was fueled by new models, low interest rates and a stable U.S. economy the company said. Its sales chief predicted that September sales for the industry would reach an annual rate of 14.9 million, making it the best month since March of 2008.

Honda Recalls 625,000 Accords, Acura TL Sedans

Honda appears to be well on its way to again leading the market in terms of the number of recalled vehicles. The maker has confirmed more than 625,000 of its Accord and Acura TL sedans will be impacted by the latest service action due to a potential fire hazard.

Fisker Automotive Ready to Move Past 'Missteps,' Make 2nd Car

Fisker CEO Tony Posawatz, who guided the Chevrolet Volt to production during his tenure at General Motors, said the Fisker Karma has been well received despite what he called the company's past "missteps." [He] acknowledged that Fisker has "a lot of work to do."

Restyled '13 Fusion to Win More Conquest Sales, Brand Manager Says

Ford expects the restyled '13 Fusion midsize sedan to outsell the current model and also give the popular Toyota Camry and Honda Accord a run for their money. Samantha Hoyt, Fusion brand manager, says the new model, slated to hit dealerships this fall, has performed well in internal consumer surveys.
